Forensic Handwriting Services (FHS) is based in the City of Redding in Northern California. Redding is near Lake Shasta, Whiskeytown Lake, Mount Shasta, and Lassen Volcanic National Park.

Larry C. Liebscher owns and operates FHS. Larry is retired from a 30-year law enforcement career at Redding Police Department. For the last 17 years of his career, he was investigator in charge of the Department’s financial crimes unit, inclusive of forensic handwritng and document examinations. Larry continues work as a handwriting and document examiner from his FHS laboratory in Redding.

Larry is recognized as a court-qualified expert in document examination throughout the law enforcement, legal, judicial, business, and private sectors in Northern California. He is a graduate of the U.S. Secret Service Questioned Document Academy at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center, holds the designation of Certified Document Examiner (CDE) with the National Association of Document Examiners, and is a member with the American College of Forensic Examiners International, and American Society for Testing and Materials.
