Forensic Handwriting Services (FHS) is based in Redding, California—a Northern California community near Lake Shasta, Whiskeytown Lake, Mount Shasta, and Lassen Volcanic National Park.

Larry C. Liebscher owns and operates FHS. Larry is retired from a 30-year law enforcement career at Redding Police Department. For the last 17 years of his career, he was lead investigator for the Department’s Financial Crimes Unit, inclusive of forensic handwriting and document examinations. Larry continues work as a forensic document examiner from his FHS laboratory in Redding. Larry is a recognized court-qualified, document examination expert throughout the law enforcement, legal, judicial, business, and private sectors in Northern California. He is a graduate of the U.S. Secret Service Questioned Document Course at Homeland Security’s Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Glynco, Georgia. Larry holds the earned designation of Certified Document Examiner (CDE) with the National Association of Document Examiners (NADE), is a member with the American College of Forensic Examiners International (ACFEI), American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), and an associate member with the Association of Forensic Document Examiners (AFDE).
